Why the Change?

📌 Easy Access: View the latest newsletter anytime, anywhere—no more searching through emails.

🔎 Searchable Archives: Looking for past articles, member news, or club updates? Now, you can easily search our newsletter archives.

📢 Stay Updated: The WVKC blog will feature timely updates, reminders, and club happenings—keeping you in the loop all month long.

📩 Monthly Newsletter Link: We’ll still email you a direct link to the latest edition, so you’ll never miss an update.

This new format allows us to provide more dynamic, easily accessible content while keeping you connected to all things WVKC. We’re confident you’ll love the convenience and flexibility of this digital transition!

Breed Spotlight

Meet the Cirneco dell'ETna

Ever heard of the Cirneco dell’Etna? This sleek, fox-like pup hails from Sicily and has been hunting rabbits on the rocky slopes of Mount Etna for centuries.

Don’t let their dainty looks fool you—these dogs are fast, tough, and packed with personality! Cirneco is sounded out like so: “cheer-NECK-oh.” If you want to appear in the know – especially around Cirneco fanciers, whose connection to their breed’s Italian homeland is still as strong as a double espresso – refer to the plural as “Cirnechi” (“cheer-NECK-key”).

They’re a close cousin to the Pharaoh Hound but come in a smaller, more compact package. Cirneci are smart, independent, and always up for an adventure, but they’re also loving companions who bond closely with their families.

Recognized by the AKC in 2015, they’re still a rare find in the U.S., but if you’re looking for an energetic, low-maintenance dog with an ancient pedigree, the Cirneco might just steal your heart! Learn more about the Cirneco dell'Etna
